The name of this restaurant is a pretty dead give away right?? Serving up halal Chinese food, Mohammad Chow is one of the restaurants I frequent on a monthly basis with friends. I like that you have a choice of sitting inside where it's air conditioned or outside, to enjoy the cool breeze and watch the passing of cars. Nestled right in the middle of a side street along a busy road it is little wonder why this restaurant is always packed, especially on the weekends. It is a clean and simple modern interior and what is really special lies in its menu! I always order their fried rice which is so fragrant and accompanying dishes to share amongst the group. My favourite is the Mango Fish dish which is deep fried chunky fish meat dressed with a slightly sweet and spicy sauce topped off with mango and carrot shavings. Another one of my favourite is the deep fried tofu dish with a crispy outer and an incredibly soft and bouncy interior, which goes so well with the mango fish dish. Their menu is extensive and offers different types of noodles and rice dishes to go with the side dishes most of which are under RM20. Be sure to get in early though, otherwise you might have to wait for a table and seats!

Mohammad Chow has all the usual Chinese cuisines and more in an impressive halal menu. You will find all the familiar Chinese favourites like Kung Po, Kam Heong and Black Pepper. You also have a humongous selection of chicken, beef, vegetable and seafood dishes, cooked in a range of styles from Hokkien to Cantonese to Baba Nyonya to Thai. If white rice and some dishes are not what you are craving for the day, there is a lot of fried rice, noodles or soups to choose from. You can even have a vegetarian feast with their assortment of vegetable dishes. I went there with a big party of about 15 people. We ordered a half a dozen dishes with rice and everyone went home with their stomachs full. I don't think I've seen a Chinese restaurant with a menu as comprehensive as Mohammad Chow. You will literally be spoiled for choice!
